Plan National de Developpement Sanitaire, 2016-2020. The PNDS 2016-2020 will be implemented by the three levels of the national health system according to the attributions of each of them, so as to involve all stakeholders under the coordination of the Government in a spirit of mutual accountability.

The Democratic Republic of Congo joined IHP+ in 2009. A Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Health and partners on reforming financing of the health sector was signed in 2009. The National Health Sector Plan was prepared for 2011 to 2015. An IHP+ Country Grant has primarily been used to support planning, monitoring and evaluation processes. It participated in the 2nd and 3rd rounds of monitoring progress against compact commitments by IHP+Results and in the 5th IHP+ monitoring round which tracked progress on the implementation of eight practices for effective development cooperation (EDC) IHP+ membership was transferred to UHC2030 in 2016. A country compact was signed between Technical and financial Partners in 2015. Joint Assessment of National Health Strategy was done and a new National health Policy 2016-2030 , National Health Development plan 2017-2021 and National Strategy for Universal Health Coverage 2017-2019 are available. Joint annual Health Sector Reviews is conducted every year since 2014
