Madagascar joined IHP+ in 2008. Madagascar received a small IHP+ country grant to support the process of partner collaboration at the country level. The current national health plan took effect in 2012 and will run through 2020. Madagascar participated in the 5th IHP+ monitoring round which tracked progress on the implementation of eight practices for effective development cooperation (EDC) IHP+ membership was transferred to UHC2030 in 2016.
