Togo joined IHP+ in 2010. A Country Compact was signed in May 2012 following a Memorandum of Understanding which was signed in February 2011 by the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Economy and Finance, Ministry of Planning and Development, six development partners and four national Civil Society Organizations. In 2012, the national CSO Union des Organizations Non Governmentalize du Togo received a grant from the Health Action Policy Grant. An IHP+ Country Grant was primarily supporting the development of the compact and the National Health Development Plan (2012-2015). Togo participated in the 3rd round of monitoring progress against compact commitments by IHP+Results in 2012 and in the 5th IHP+ monitoring round which tracked progress on the implementation of eight practices for effective development cooperation (EDC) IHP+ membership was transferred to UHC2030 in 2016.
