UHC2030 joint vision progress
Uganda joined IHP+ in February 2009. A National Health Sector Strategic Plan 2010-2015 was developed during 2010, and reviewed using the JANS approach. Following completion of the new plan, an updated partnership agreement this time called a country compact - was signed by the Ministry of Health, 15 development partners and Civil Society Organizations. An IHP+ Country Grant has primarily supported compact development, and monitoring and evaluation initiatives. Two national CSOs, the Action Group for Health, Human Rights and HIV/AID and the Uganda Network of AIDS Service Organizations, received grants from the Health Policy Action Fund in 2010. In 2012 the Coalition for Health Promotion and Social Development as well as the Action Group for Health, Human Rights and HIV/AIDS received a grant. Uganda participated in the 3rd round of monitoring progress against compact commitments by IHP+Results and in the 5th IHP+ monitoring round which tracked progress on the implementation of eight practices for effective development cooperation (EDC) .IHP+ membership was transferred to UHC2030 in 2016.
